Nothing to report today for the 2nd XI, as Hollingworth unfortunately conceded due to not having enough players to fulfil the fixture. However Jamie Brownhill’s men in the 1st XI are currently riding the wave of 9 wins in the last 9 matches to go top of Division 2 after beating Hazel Grove 1sts today, with 5 wickets and a 50* for the man-mountain that is Rob Mallett and 60 from wicket-keeper Mike Whitworth. Next week, the 2’s are at home to Dinting, whilst the 1st are away at Birch Vale & Thornsett.
Good day, both teams won, 1sts beat Old Glossop by 6 wickets and 2nds beat Pott Shrigley by 7 wickets with Alex Wilde (51*) carrying the bat, and Tony Mooney with 80* his highest total since beating Wilmslow Wayfarers back in 1981 when he scored 84*.
