Stalybridge won the toss and elected to bowl first.

1st Innings

Bridge opened the game by bowling, and early wickets saw Springhead fall to 78-5 just before drinks. Nathan Boon on debut taking 2-18 off 8 overs. However, impactful contributions from Muhammad Ghufran (41 off 32), Dylan Shaw (22 off 32), and Syed Muhammad Ifran (43 off 23), helped shift momentum toward the visitors who finished all out on 196.

2nd Innings

Bridge began the innings well, but good spells of bowling from Ifran and Ghufran restricted them to 80-2 at the half-way stage. The coming overs were truly bridges though, with Phil Hammond and Reuben Tollett putting on a partnership of 105, to seal the win for bridge. Phil also just about managed to carry his bat off the pitch, finishing on an unbeaten 107.

Bridge won by 6 wickets to earn themselves a first win of the season and of the GMCL.
